ROUNDS TO BE SHOT:  28 Field and 28 Hunter Targets

 

REGISTRATION: Advanced registration is mandatory. Letters postmarked after July 9, 2008 must pay a late fee.

 

TARGET ASSIGNMENTS:  All target assignments will be listed alphabetically and posted at the clubhouse.  Target assignments will be based on your division and classification – this is so you will be shooting with your competition.

 

MEMBERSHIP:  You MUST be a current PSAA member to compete in this State Championship tournament.

 

CLASSIFICATION:  All participants must have a Field/Hunter classification marked on their Official PSAA Classification CardConference classification cards will not be accepted.  Field officials will collect class cards on Saturday.  You do not need to present a class card if you shoot the following:  AA Class, Traditional Recurve, Traditional Longbow, Senior Division, or Crossbow.  If you do not have a class card with you, you will shoot AA class. 

 

REFUNDS:  If you cannot attend this tournament but have paid the required registration fee, you must contact the PSAA Office – by PHONE – by Monday, July 14, 2008 to be eligible for a 50% refund.

 

MEALS:  Breakfast (in the clubhouse) and lunch will be served both Saturday and Sunday.

 

CAMPING:  A camping area is available above the practice range next to the parking lot.  There are no electrical or water hook-ups; however, water is available in the clubhouse.  There are two showers and restrooms outside the clubhouse.  There is a $5.00 camping fee.  Please fill out the camping registration in this newsletter and include the form and the fee with your tournament registration.  Please make checks payable to Mechanicsburg Archers.

    SATURDAY, JULY 19, 2008             8:00 AM – OPEING CEREMONY / TARGET ASSIGNMENTS

                                                                 8:30 AM – OFFICIAL SCORING 28 FIELD

 

    SUNDAY, JULY 20, 2008      8:00 AM – ANNOUNCEMENTS / TARGET ASSIGNMENTS

                                                                 8:30 AM – OFFICIAL SCORING 28 HUNTER

 

TEAMS:  A master team scorecard will be provided for the members of your team.  The team captain is responsible for picking up the team scorecard; for getting and recording all team members’ scores; for completing the team scorecard; for returning the completed card to the registration committee.  The total score from both rounds will be used for the team score.  Plaques will be awarded to the winning team(s).

 

SPECIAL REMINDERS:  At the end of shooting on both days, each individual archer is responsible for his/her own score cards.  You will turn in your scorecards to your range captains who will be positioned somewhere under the pavilion by the clubhouse.  Be sure to fill out and sign your cards completely.  It is also the responsibility of each archer to be sure to pick up his/her classification card at the end of the tournament.  Please do not for get to do so!

 

PRACTICE RANGE:  The practice range will be open Friday evening, and Saturday and Sunday morning from 7:00AM until the announcement is made that the practice range is closed and the tournament is ready to begin.

 

AWARDS:  Sunday, at the completion of the tournament and after all scores have been properly compiled, the official Awards Ceremony will be held.  Awards will be given in all divisions and all classes; first, second, and third places if competition warrants.  Team awards and Husband and Wife awards will be presented/announced at this time.
